As a Logistics Project Manager you will lead the deployment of our Enterprise logistics strategy in support of our growing business demands and organizational goals. This person will be responsible for leveraging their experiences and skills in transportation management to lead the implementation of multiple initiatives which will transform logistics into a competitive advantage. You will be the leader and champion working with internal stakeholders, 3PL’s and carriers to drive change in an accelerated and organized fashion across all domestic modes.

What You’ll Do…

• Lead the solution design, training and implementation sequence for each mode, including internal IT requirements for automated information flow.
• Define the project scope for new 3PL integration and lead commercial negotiations.
• Mine relevant logistics data required to enable efficient and effective transportation process execution.
• Lead required RFP’s for transportation and work with 3PL on carrier integration.
• Define network business rules for planning, optimization, track and trace and financial settlement.
• Ensure operations planning is thorough and complete prior to go live dates.
• Partner with Finance on freight payment processes and allocations, including cost management and reporting.
• Facilitate communication and change management across the Company.
• Establish cadence and content for leadership updates to include financial and operational results.
• Establish the project’s overall critical path ensuring that all phases adhere to the agreed-upon timeline.
• Monitor execution of all deliverables across multiple projects.
• Follow the standard project management methodology with an agile framework to stay on task.
• Assist project team in troubleshooting and identifying solutions to unforeseen issues.
• Plan major project phases and establish project success factors with input from key stakeholders.
• Prioritize risks and evaluates impact for mitigation and monitoring
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.

What You Need…

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with emphasis in supply chain and logistics.
• 7-10 years’ logistics experience with strong knowledge of transportation processes, systems and operations.
• 4+ years of Project Management experience leading medium to large projects through all phases of project life cycle.
• Demonstrated competency of Program and Project Management skills using traditional Project Management methodologies.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated influential leadership skills with the ability to facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent relationship manager with strong negotiating skills.
• Travel – up to 20%
• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
• Comply with company rules, policies and decisions.
