We are looking for a senior accountant with a strong accounting background and a passion for the brand to take Nike’s direct-to-consumer businesses to the next level.

• Actively engage with key business partners to evaluate Nike’s newest business model proposals, provide accounting requirements and inputs to the design, test prior to launch, and operationalize upon go-live

• Perform period close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analytic reviews

• Serve as a subject matter expert of the Blackline cash matching tool to reconcile retail sales and cash receipts

• Identify financial statement risks through independent research and engagement with key business partners to develop proposed solutions

• Prepare monthly supporting schedules for the organization, as well as quarterly reporting schedules for external reporting

• Drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and controls

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH:

This role reports to the North America (NA) Order To Cash (O2C) Accounting Manager within the Controlling function. This role will partner effectively with multiple internal partners across various functions including, but not limited to, Global Controlling Value Streams, the Connected Marketplace Business and Finance team and the Global Technology organization. In addition, this person will interact with several of Nike’s key third-party partners.

• 3+ years minimum of experience in accounting or related functions

• Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred

• Experience with SAP is preferred

• Experience with accounting for complex revenue recognition arrangements is a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks to leadership

• Strong project management and problem-solving skills and the ability to drive and innovate processes

• Ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, preferably inclusive of navigating a large corporation
