We are seeking an individual to join our Corporate Transportation team as a Transportation Safety Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Norfolk, Nebraska. We place an emphasis on having the highest attention to detail, a positive attitude, and professionally communicating with vendors and employees. This candidate will play an important role in working with our team to ensure that all drivers follow laws and regulations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company safety policy and procedures.

What your title will be:

Transportation Safety Manager

Here are some things you’ll be doing:

• Creating processes for ensuring NIM Transportation acts in compliance with FMCSA and stays legal and current with all changes.
• Manage, develop, and improve fleet safety programs and driver qualification files.
• Manage the drug and alcohol testing & FMCSA Clearinghouse for all NIM Group Facilities.
• Maintain and develop ride along programs at the district and corporate level.
• Assist in DOT meetings during the week and on the weekends.
• Performs post-accident evaluation of drivers involved in total equipment loss, severe injury, or fatality type accidents.
• Acts as the safety liaison between branch and corporate management.

Here’s what we require of you:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and group presentation skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Active CDL preferred.
• Held a position within safety is a bonus.
• 5 or more years of CMV experience is preferred.
• 5 or more years of acceptable driving experience.
• Excellent knowledge of DOT regulation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
