DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
– Host recognition events such as the Annual Bureau-wide Meeting.
-Manage budgets for consultants, equipment, and other training- and event-related expenses.
COMMUNICATIONS & OUTREACH:
Maintain external website and internal (intranet) pages with resources for staff, healthcare providers, and the public.
Assist in the planning of events to educate healthcare providers and the public, including annual World TB Day activities.
Build staff morale by conducting surveys and sending regular newsletters/email blasts.
Develop and procure educational content meeting DOHMH Language Access Policy standards.
Facilitate the development and implementation of job aids to maintain standards of practice.
Participate in emergency preparedness trainings and response activities, such as the COVID-19 Response, as directed by the Commissioner of Health or his designee.
Serve as Training Focal Point and liaison to CDC TB Education and Training Network and to the TB Center of Excellence at the Global TB Institute at Rutgers, representing the BTBC and DOHMH at meetings and conferences.
Prepare grant reports and other related documents.
Track attendance of mandatory and recommended training.
Supervise a trainer, training coordinator, and public health associate, as well as ad hoc college aides, HRTP interns, and volunteers.
Provide technical assistance to colleagues in the development of trainings and events.
Maintain protocols guiding Onboarding, Mandated Training Compliance, and other essential activities.
Coordinate other programs on special initiatives and issues related to mandated training compliance and recordkeeping.
Continually evaluate and recalibrate efforts.
Support education and reforms in line with the DOHMH Race to Justice Initiative; serve as a Bureau Liaison to the Division of Disease Control Race to Justice Action Team.
Appointments to this position are subject to a minimum probationary period of one year.

The federal government provides student loan forgiveness through its Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) to all qualifying public service employees. Working with the DOHMH qualifies you as a public service employee and you may be able to take advantage of this program while working full-time and meeting the program’s other requirements.
