(0010) Contract Specialist (Junior)

OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

We currently have openings for Junior Contract Specialists with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement. The experience can be either as a federal government employee, a member of the U.S. military, or as a contractor supporting a Federal agency. We are looking for candidates to prepare purchase orders and/or maintain official documentation in files; handle actions related to pre- and post-award; prepare correspondence; prepare Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act request; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement with a Bachelor’s degree; or five (5) years of directly related experience (i.e., FAC-C, DAWIA certification, NCMA certifications is preferred, and will also be considered)
• Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with Federal Contracting, such as FAR and other regulations
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.
