@Orchard LLC has an immediate opening for a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector for an experienced Logistics Management Specialist with an active Secret Clearance in Arsenal, AL. The period of performance is 3 months with the potential for a contract extension beyond the said period.
Responsibilities:
- Provide logistics technical assistance/expertise to the Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layer Defense (SHIELD) Project Office under Program Executive Office Missiles and Space.
- Gathers and analyzes data on product plans and project objectives.
- Provides tracking, status reports, and logistics plans to support and ensure distribution and delivery commitments for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems.
- Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
- Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors, inventory, and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve or improve results.
Skills/Experience Required
- Experience in logistics and supply chain management Army Material Command with working knowledge of inventory, stock control and transportation, and automated logistics functions.
- Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Must be physically able to perform required duties, and wear and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be physically able to lift/move 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and US Army installation driving privileges
