JOB SUMMARY/ DESCRIPTION

The Osceola County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller is looking to onboard a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist, that is willing to work in a culture driven by public service. We are recruiting a professional to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, benefit and leave management, and enforcing policies and practices. DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages and maintain accurate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to manage employee benefits, time & attendance and employment/ pay profiles.
• Manages and maintain all human resource records in accordance with the record retention policy and Florida Sunshine law.
• Researches and provides recommendations to resolve employment issues.
• Manage the full recruiting life cycle process which includes creating job postings, screening resumes, interviewing, extending offers and conducts orientation.
• Conducts or acquire background checks and employment verifications.
• Develops and recommends employee relation practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship.
• Conducts and analyzes exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.
• Arranges seminars, workshops and conferences based on each department’s needs.
• Manages benefits and employee leave, including FMLA, ADA and Worker’s compensation claims.
• Manages employee disputes, conducts disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, and make recommendations.
• Provides policy and procedure guidance and interpretation to employees and management and handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with FMLA, ADA, FLSA and other applicable areas of employment law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with a course emphasis in Human Resources or bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 2 + years human resources experience.
• Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
• ADP experience a plus.
• Must possess valid Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizational facilities.
