Position Description

The Controller serves a critical role on the Overland Group team. He or she will be responsible for the following:

• Runs all accounting functions at Overland Group
• Responsible for cash flow management
• Serve as primary accounting contact for several properties
• Ability to think high level while also having the ability to perform the day-to-day needs
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and supporting schedules
• Manage all accounts payable processes including investor distributions, managed property payment, and construction draws
• Reconcile and maintain intercompany balances
• Work with multiple accounting and project management systems

Qualifications

• Extremely high level of initiative
• Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MAcc or MBA strongly preferred
• CPA strongly preferred
• 5 years progressive experience minimum, 7+ year preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to adapt with company to learn/develop new processes and systems
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, with little direction
• Construction accounting experience a plus
• Quickbooks experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
