This is a full-time, salaried position. The Field Superintendent will manage and perform field-service work for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, refurbishment, modification and installation of Passenger Boarding Bridges, Ground Power Units, Pre-Conditioned Air Units, Baggage Handling Systems, and related auxiliary components at various airport locations. This position is responsible to drive the progression of the assigned project, oversee field operations and provide technical expertise in coordination with the designated Project Manager. **Constant Travel** VARIOUS AIRPORT LOCATIONS – AIRPORT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
· Independently perform electrical, mechanical, demolition, minor welding, maintenance, commissioning tasks and make logical decisions concerning repair and installation actions
· Responsible to lead the daily activities at construction / work sites in accordance with the project plan and Oxford procedures
· Manage, direct, and supervise Oxford team members to ensure successful performance of work, and adherence to administrative and safety policies and procedures
· Accountable to execute and complete the project, as directed by the Project Manager to maintain scope, schedule, and cost parameters
· Competently plan and coordinate several tasks, employees, subcontracts at a time
· Schedule, coordinate and oversee union workers, sub trades and equipment/material deliveries
· Effectively communicate via email, telephone and in-person to the Project Manager, customer and other stakeholders on progress, changes in scope, resource needs, requests, concerns, etc.
· Required to produce employee and project documentation as requested including daily activity reports, purchase orders, time sheets, etc. including organized and accurate record keeping
· Provide technical training and mentorship to technicians, mechanics and other Oxford personnel as directed
· Implementation of new O&M station start-up plans and existing station improvement plans including customer and stakeholder communication, evaluation of covered assets, deficiency resolution and coordination of staffing, material, equipment needs
· Support sales and estimating process with technical review of documents, translation of project requirements, production of schedules and phasing plans, sub-vendor coordination
· Observe all safety rules, procedures, and OSHA regulations
· Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and installation of PBBs, BHS and ancillary equipment
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisor or management role
· Working knowledge and practical experience with rigging, crane work, heavy equipment assembly
· Background in construction and understanding of Union work environments is a plus
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics
· Proficiently work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
· Able to travel frequently (80-95%) and for extended periods of time
· Demonstrate dependable work habits and a willingness to work weekends and additional hours as necessary to ensure the completion of the project
· Leadership qualities including a positive attitude centered on conflict resolution, a willingness to lead by example, sense of urgency to meet deadlines under pressure and demonstrate ownership in project from inception to completion
· OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred but not required.
· Ability to pass a background check and obtain Airport Security Badging
Work Environment
· The employee is occasionally exposed, using appropriate personal protective equipment, to wet and/or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical power, elevated workspaces, caustic chemicals, and loud noises
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, use hands, fingers, arms, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, and lift to 50 pounds
· This position requires frequent travel, up to 14 days at a time away from home
