POWER STOP LLC Hiring for Automotive Category Manager Job at Bedford Park, IL Full Time

The Automotive Category Manger works directly with the customer to provide information and recommendations that sets the customer up for success. Using data to sell more product, the Category Manager is the point of contact between the customer and Power Stop.

Job Duties:

• Manage the range of skus that is recommended to the customer
• Reduce overstock and non-performing inventory
• Industry/competitive benchmarking
• Reporting – both to customer and Power Stop of sales KPI’s
• Gross margin and pricing analysis
• Evaluating industry, market, and competitive landscapes for all locations
• Maintaining product life cycle
• Promotional ideas & associated metrics
• Maintaining a balance of reduction of out-purchases and maximizing inventory efficiency
• Retail competitive price data compilation
• Meeting with customers’ management team to thoroughly understand their mission and establish objectives
• Monthly supplier scorecard report

Experience:

• Prior experience within the automotive aftermarket
• Prior experience with large-scale data manipulation

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket. Preferably within either a Product Management capacity or a sales support capacity.
• Must be able to manipulate large amounts of data, as well as make decisions based on that data.
• Must be outgoing and able to communicate professionally with the customers’ management team.
• Familiarity with automotive aftermarket data exchange standards (ACES/PIES) is recommended, but not required.

• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, medical codes or alarms).

Hours:

• Full-time salary position – from home or in-office – 40+ hours per week Monday-Friday, weekends as necessary, flexible hours
• Some travel (up to 30%) required.
