JOB SUMMARY:

As a digital marketing agency, Proximity Marketing is charged with increasing the online visibility of our client businesses. Many of the strategies we execute rely on excellent storytelling and compelling messaging.

We are looking for an organized, creative self-starter who is passionate about content development and the role it plays in a digital marketing strategy. This is a flexible, part time (20 hours per week) opportunity with 8-5:00/M-F availability. Freelance arrangements will be considered. Opportunity to grow into a full-time position depending on skillset.

The Content Marketing Writer is responsible for developing and implementing a variety of digital content, including guides/whitepapers, website copy, blog articles, email and social media posts. The writer works closely with the strategy and SEO teams to shape content topics and their purpose. Serving clients in various manufacturing industries, a successful candidate will be skilled in writing clean, succinct copy that communicates value.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create content that positions our clients as the authority in their respective industries, while aiming to attract, nurture, and convert qualified leads
• Analyze data from internal and third-party sources to gather trends and relevant stories
• Capture source material from interviews with clients and subject matter experts to convert into meaningful stories
• Manage social media platforms

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience, preferably in SEO or Marketing-related content writing.
• 3+ years of writing experience, ideally in a Marketing setting
• Technical/manufacturing writing experience a plus
• Solid portfolio with incredible content and measurable results
• Strong, emotion-invoking storytelling skills translatable across many mediums
• Capacity to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines
• Must provide content and/or writing samples during in-person interview
• Experience working with Hootsuite and WordPress is a plus
• Search Engine Optimization a plus
