PSG Hiring for Tax Specialist – $85k to $90K + Bonus Job at Chestnut Hill, MA Full Time

Our client is a leading hedge fund manager with over $12 billion of net assets under management. The firm pursues investment strategies primarily within the global fixed-income markets with the objectives of capital preservation and absolute return without significant correlation to equity, interest rate, and foreign exchange markets.

Looking for someone coming out of public tax, this person will be doing heavy partnership work so someone out of public is key.

Responsibilities:

• Computations of partnership taxable income, partnership book and tax allocations, tax estimates, Schedule K-1s, and tax returns.
• The month-end close process and production of reconciliations related to balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Analyze and identify book-to-tax differences including wash sales, PFICs, bond bifurcation, and accretion/amortization of discount/premium.
• Document tax and accounting policies and procedures.
• Assess and evaluate reporting processes and systems to ensure they are efficient and effective.
• Researching and implementing operational improvements, ad hoc analysis, and special projects.

Qualifications:

• BA degree in accounting or finance. CPA, MST, or working towards a CPA or MST preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of financial services experience with exposure to the taxation of financial products and hedge/mutual funds or investment companies preferred.
• Knowledge of fixed-income securities, derivatives, and complex financial instruments.
• Proficient with software, including advanced MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
