Generalist CLS/MT- Clinical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist needed in New York

MUST HOLD STATE OF NEW YORK LICENSURE

Start: Monday’s through 6/4, with potential to extend
Shift: 1night
Rate: $83 regular time, $124.50 Overtime
Guarantee: 48/hrs
Length: 6/wks (no leave of absence at this time)
Housing: Provided at no cost or take the stipend
Perdiem: $35/per day. You will be responsible for your food and transportation to and from work each day.
Travel reimbursement: up to $300 each way based on zip code (first and last paycheck with successful completion of contract).

Position detail: Ability to interpret results and clinical significance of test findings. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Computer literacy needed. There is no blood bank testing…just issuing blood. There is no microbiology other than what is done on the Cepheid. Nursing and phlebotomists perform the draws. LIS used is Meditech Magic.

• Chemistry – Roche Cobas C501
• Coagulation – ACL Top 300
• Hematology – Sysmex XN 1000
• Infectious Disease – Cepheid GenExpert
• Toxicology – MedTox
• Cardiac Markers & Blood Gases – I-Stat

Requirements:

• Experience: One year experience performing the duties of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• B.S. degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License Required
• COVID Vaccine Required by State
