Job Description:

Overview

The position is responsible for designing and developing electronic control units for the resistance welding industry. The Electronics engineer plays a key role in the product development process, by developing and validating prototypes, refining the design into a scalable solution, and finally launching products into full-scale production. The engineer will lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams, lead manufacturing scale-up of new and updated products and complete other activities necessary for successful New Product Introductions.

Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Embedded systems design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits related to existing and new products.

• Design of microprocessor interface circuits to external systems.

• Review and understand customer technical specifications and industry standards regarding technical requirements (materials, qualification, and performance requirements) of the product

• Hardware / firmware design of PCBAs for products

• Design, validate and maintain GUI software for product interfaces

• Develop testing procedures for new PCBAs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering field of study

• 3+ years of relevant experience in electronic design/testing at a PCBA level.

• Design, analysis, debugging, testing, and updating digital electronic systems and components (PCB/PCBA).

• Design of test/validation procedures for digital electronic systems and components.

• Experience with Altium Designer.

• In-depth knowledge of C/C++, Visual Basic, and Java

• In-depth knowledge of electronics

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of Programs

• In-depth knowledge of electronics test equipment

• In-depth knowledge of component selection

• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $89,400.00 – $96,197.00 per year
