Our Washington, DC client is seeking an experienced Project Manager contractor to help manage a national effort to help coordinate chemical science-specific and collaborative activities that advance the career development of underrepresented trainees. The role will focus on managing relationships with chemistry and chemical engineering departments.

Responsibilities:

• Works on the adaption and dissemination of Inclusive Graduate Education practices in the chemical sciences
• Coordinates and manages career and professional development activities for underrepresented students in the chemical sciences at Biannual National Meetings and Regional Meetings
• Supports existing and future academic partners and partner organizations.

Education/Experience/Technical Knowledge

• Graduate degree in a chemical or related science is required; may have an advanced degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication and organizational skills are required.
• Superior customer service skills and experience in project management are preferred.
