We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. The work location for this position is Lincoln, Nebraska, and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for the accurate representation and recording of the company’s revenues arising from US contracts. The position has a good understanding of the business and its transactional and contractual obligations. This position is also responsible for general accounting tasks related to period end closing, SOX / financial statement audit support, and other Financial Operations accounting related work.

In this role you’ll:

• Ensure US financial results related to contract revenue recognition, inventory valuation and At-Risk contracts are reported accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP, corporate and regulatory requirements, both pre and post auction.
• Preparation and/or review of monthly and quarterly working papers relating to inventory and risk contracts, ensuring proper classification and no material misstatement.
• Maintains a solid understanding of the business, its transactional and contractual obligations and becomes directly involved in specific business issues and their resolution.
• Participation in special projects, committees, and other accounting duties/projects as may be assigned.
• Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.

Here’s what you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or other professional accounting credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, business law, and GAAP reporting including accrual accounting, internal controls and basic knowledge SOX requirements.
• Three to five years of relevant experience preferred.

This job will require you to:

• Review risk contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Determine necessary period end journal entries relate to risk deals.
• Perform research when needed.
• Manage time effectively to handle a high-volume workload in a deadline driven environment.
• Foster strong customer relationships by interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Work closely with the other departments and offices to address issues and ensure alignment.
