GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose for this role is to vacuum braze parts by cleaning, assembling fixtures, loading and unloading parts, and monitoring the operation and maintenance of the furnace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may participate in one or more of the following duties as directed by supervision or management.

• Perform the duties of a finisher as needed.
• Safely clean components using Braze Cleaning Line prior to Vacuum Brazing while following all safety requirements.
• Develop and implement proper fixture methods for Braze parts.
• Operate and maintain all related Braze equipment.
• Be able to read and demonstrate a comprehension of a blueprint’s dimensions, tolerances, as well as surface finish call outs required for parts.
• Passivate parts as required while following all safety requirements.
• Load parts into and operate heat treat and drying ovens.
• Ensure quality of brazing; check for flaws and non-conformities, take corrective action to prevent further discrepancies.
• Download data-logger information and create historical report.
• Straighten various types of parts using a hand press. These parts will range from different shape and size brazements to raw material rough blanks.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience is preferred
• KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to think independently.
• Must pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrate an understanding of fixturing and spring pressure, and hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Must be able to work in other areas on an as needed basis.
• Show initiative in work by being a self starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time in order to complete jobs in a timely matter.

Monday – Thursday 3:15PM – 1:45AM + overtime
Earn shift pay on 2nd shift
