HVAC Service Manager

SUMMARY

Oversees, plans, directs and coordinates activities of HVAC division of the Service Department to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates’ supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Coordinates the manpower requirements of the HVAC section

· Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project

· Orders equipment

· Coordinate equipment deliveries

· Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget,

· Submits billing on time

· Maintains customer relations throughout project

· Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems

· Checking the accuracy of work tickets from the field

· Coordinates the scheduling and training of all Field new hires for Service Department

· Coordinates with Technicians in regards to Safety procedures in the Field.

· Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working climate.

· Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises up to 21 employees in the Service Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning. Assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Journeyman HVAC license; One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to travel, as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
