RumbleOn is seeking a Software Development Manager who is versatile, flexible, detail oriented, and who works well in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area who is looking forward to working in-office full time alongside our awesome team!

As the Software Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to oversee software development teams and act as a liaison between teams and senior leadership. You will train new staff, manage and evaluate existing developers, analysts and engineers, provide guidance on the design and implementation of new software applications, and ensure that projects stay on schedule and within budget. You will collaborate with upper-level management and your teams to make sure that new and existing software applications meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading a group of analysts and engineers (6-8) in a cross-functional team, developing customer facing applications as well as software to support our internal operations.
• Define scope of work, timelines, and deliverables that support business goals.
• Direct and manage development projects from beginning to end.
• Day-to-day management of the team’s skill set, workload, and schedule.
• Communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Coach and support team members as needed to grow their capabilities.
• Foster a culture of innovation to improve our systems and the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience managing an applications development team.
• Must have a strong technical background of the SDLC
• SOX compliance familiarity strongly desired
• An aptitude to personally assess, troubleshoot & resolve development issues for an in-house application development team, concerning technologies, including but not limited to: SQL, React, JSON, GitHub, AWS, C#, etc.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodology. Jira experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience as an engineer or analyst. Certification a plus.
• PMP is a plus
• Positive attitude and team player.
• The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, able to balance multiple projects and meet defined goals.
