Summary:

As a Collector you are responsible for assisting delinquent customers to bring their accounts current. Collectors will need to effectively communicate with customers via telephone; excellent verbal and written skills are required. You will actively listen to customers in order to provide solutions and programs that best fit the customer’s needs. Collectors must ensure compliance with all company, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with customers about the status of their account and explain available repayment options
• Effectively overcome objections when customers decline provided repayment options
• Adhere to an established call flow while actively engaging with customers
• Balance the requirement of taking inbound calls and making outbound calls
• Effectively navigate multiple systems throughout the phone call
• Maintain clear, concise and accurate documentation of collection activities
• Compliance with federal and state regulations governing collections including FDCPA, Privacy Act, FCRA, etc.
• Perform skip tracing activities with the intention of locating delinquent customers
• Immediate implementation of information gained through training sessions, management feedback and policy changes
• Achievement of assigned monthly goals including all productivity standards
• Achievement of personal goals in addition to team and company objectives

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience:

• Minimum of six months in a customer facing environment
• PC experience in a windows environment
• Basic keyboarding skills
• Previous collections, sales or customer service experience preferred

Hours:

• Training period Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (mix of remote/on-site) 4-5 weeks

After Training period (Primarily Remote)

• 2 Days 8 AM – 5 PM
• 2 Days 12 PM – 9 PM
• Friday Hours: 1 Friday per month 12 PM – 9 PM; All other Fridays 8 AM – 5 PM
• Minimal Saturday shifts 8 AM – 12 PM (Typically a few per year)
