Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Logistics and Materials Coordinator is responsible for the logistics data, system processes and/or settings for multiple locations as defined by management. The position coordinates the quality and integrity of all logistics data for multiple locations including outside vendors. The role serves as a logistics data and materials processes expert coordinating the quality and integrity of all logistics and materials data working cross functionally to assist and report to management. The Logistics and Materials Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and tracking performance of intercompany and vendor locations and will be empowered to drive continuous improvement. Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment will be critical for this role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods. The selected individual will provide collaborative support to manufacturing teams and vendors to help the company to achieve its growth goals. This position will ensure internal storage capacity is maximized; necessary equipment is sourced in conjunction with procurement. The role requires the ability to handle multiple projects, work independently and interact with all levels of employees. This is a remote position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, preferred
- High school Diploma plus 5 years manufacturing/transportation logics experience, required
- SAP experience required
- Solid logistics operational experience/background with knowledge of load/freight management
- Experience in cross-functional data management and/or process improvement
- Proactive, agile, problem solving driven, good level of autonomy
- Experience of working, both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative, and controlled project environment
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written), multi-lingual capability a plus
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with competing timelines
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to positively drive decisions with mutual and business-oriented outcome
- Proficient in MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; capable of problem solving
- LEAN, GK, or Six Sigma experience a plus
- Travel: Occasional travel, required
