Seaman Paper Company of Massachusetts, Inc Hiring for Cost Accountant Job at Gardner, MA Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be a direct report to the cost accounting manager ( when hired ) in the interim the position
will report to the corporate controller. Focus of the position will be Inventory accuracy, maintenance of and
distribution of overhead to support standard cost. Position will also actively support the new product
quotation process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily identify and resolve negative and zero cost items
Monthly assist controller in completion of the inventory valuation
Lead the development of a standard cost system across all Seaman Paper Co operations
Work with the cost accounting manager / controller to develop labor and overhead cost pools and
drivers
Work with plant inventory analysts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of production reporting and
the various locations
Active participant in the development of the yearly operations budget
Focus point for product cost assumptions provided to the sales team
Ad hoc reporting as requested by controller and CFO

QUALIFICATIONS:
ERP system experience
EXCEL
WORD
Experience being part of a team
EDUCATION:
4 year college in accounting or business
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years out college with Manufacturing Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
