POSITION: Staff Accountant

REPORTS TO: Controller

POSITION STATUS: Full-time Salary Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $60,000-75,000

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate for this role will have a positive attitude and has public audit experience. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for data entry, financial statement review and reconciliations, Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation.

How you will make an impact

· Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

· Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

· Financial statement preparation

· Help with audit fieldwork for financial audits

· Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

Requirements

· BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred

-General Ledger experience

· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs required)

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

· Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

Desired Skills and Experience

· General ledger

· Month-end Close Activities

· Balance sheet reconciliation

· Accounts Payable/Receivable

· Ad-hoc financial analysis

· Self-starter and strong ethical standards

· CPA is a plus or 2-3 years in a Big 4 audit prep/field work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
