General Overview*:
We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to complete general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Staff Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will have solid GAAP accounting knowledge with accuracy & effectiveness in completing daily/weekly/monthly tasks, while working in a fast-paced environment meeting financial due dates.
This position will be based out of the Catalyst Acoustics Group North Aurora Manufacturing Campus in North Aurora, IL.
Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end close responsibilities which includes closing AP, general accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, capital spend reviews
• Assist in the evolution of Catalyst Acoustics Group’s review and management of inventory metrics for purchase price variance, months on hand and received not invoiced.
• Participate in annual audit and physical inventory.
• Analyze cash on hand daily.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Assist in updating and/or creating accounting policies and procedures.
• AP management, including data entry, voucher reviews and weekly check runs.
• Management of freight expenses and BOLs.
• Review and process travel card, P card and out of pocket expenses.
• Analyze and process intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Collect and maintain all legally required vendor documents, including COIs and W9.
• Ad hoc reporting, analysis, and projects.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• BS in Accounting.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with Cost Accounting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency MS-Office Suite and advanced user of Excel a must.
• Experience with Visual or other manufacturing ERPs a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and strong analytical skills are a required to be successful
• Experience with Bloomberg and FloQast a plus.
• Must be detailed orientated, organized, able to plan effectively, prioritize, and multi-task.

This position will have a base working schedule of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Extended daily hours may be required depending on accounting deadlines and task completion. The person working in this position will work in an office environment, daily onsite attendance required, remote work is not available. Always maintain company safety standards regarding required personnel protective equipment usage, and safe working practices.
