There are three vacancies.
This position will have the option to telework; the employee will be required to complete a telework agreement.
Occasional out state travel/overnight stays.
In this role, you will enforce state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor carriers and other commercial motor vehicle operations in the State of Minnesota. The position primarily exists to audit carrier records relative to FMCSA’s New Entrant Safety Audit Program (NESA). This includes the ability to educate, train, inform and advise carriers, shippers, law enforcement agencies and the public regarding motor carrier regulations. The position also exists to protect the public from illegal motor carrier practices and from dangers to life and property because of failing to comply with motor carrier laws, rules, and regulations.
MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
One year of professional experience in the areas noted below;
OR
Two years of technical or advanced clerical experience in the areas noted below;
NOTE: A Bachelor’s degree in business, education, communications, criminal justice, and psychology/sociology may substitute for 1 year of professional experience.
