Job Title: Operations Director

Job Type: Salaried FTE

Potential salary: $53,800 – 60,000

The Innovations and Partnerships Director is a pivotal role at the heart of the Story Tapestries’ Community. The Innovations and Partnerships Director oversees out of school time programs and community centered partnerships including designing, coordinating, and documenting programs; building new community partnerships and sustaining current ones as well as helping to set strategic programmatic partnership goals. They are responsible for working directly with the Program Director and the Operations Director to support the flow of programs for the organizations.

Duties include:

Innovation and Partnerships Director (Full Time Salaried)

• Collaborates with the CEO, CDO, and Program Director to create the Strategic outlook on the development growth for the company

• Collaborates on and contributes to material for larger publications

• Works with the CEO to research, design, plan and execute innovative programs that serve to help communities build their own comprehensive framework for success

• Consistently communicates with current collaborators and clients

• Seeks out and builds collaborative relationships between ST and program partners

(Making cold calls, sending out marketing material, attending meetings)

• Primary contact for coordinating performances and programs with current and new collaborators connected to specific partnerships during out of school time hours and any out of town school partners:

• Communicates with existing and potential collaborators

• Sets up program budgets and writes contracts

• Identifies artists

• Schedules dates

• Supports the Operations Director’s ability to send invoices and finalize contracts

• Co-Manages the network of teaching artists including training, scheduling, and supporting them by attending planning meetings and assisting with evaluations

• Supports the teaching artists by identifying and vetting new players to add to the team

• Supports the network of teaching artists including training and assisting with evaluations

• Supports DEI oversight for the organization including:

• Support the execution of the Racial Equity Strategic Action Plan

• Working with teaching artists and staff to update language and design of support materials (print and digital) to be equitable and inclusive

• Supports the STs ability to develop relationships with donors, community leaders, and foundations

(Includes multiple forms of communication, written and verbal, engaging the above people in programming and fundraising)

• Attends informational meetings, webinars and networking events on behalf of ST

• Attends conferences, showcases, and other events that promote the organization

• Collaborates with the CDO and CEO to provide written material about the programs being executed or developed for grants or funding requests

• Supports writing grant and funding request applications as well as coordinates all related efforts with program partners

• Documents programs in writing and with digital media

• Supports our database of donors and clients

• Uses Dropbox, Google Drive and external hard drives

• Uses a CRM, Salesforce, to document program data

• Manages Volunteers and Interns as applicable

Skills and Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in administration and management

• Strong organization and time-management skills

• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Detail-oriented

• Creative problem solver

• Innovative and big picture thinker

• Capable of receiving feedback from partners and colleagues

• Confident and comfortable speaking in front of others

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Social Media, CRMs (Salesforce preferred), Adobe, and the Google suite of tools

• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including in person, over the phone and via digital mediums

• Diplomatic, patient and calm in stressful situations

• Past experience connected to both finance management and marketing

• Understanding the importance of working in an open, collaborative, multicultural, high-integrity office

• Comfortable working in a remote office environment

• Vaccination against COVID-19 is required due to rules set forth by Story Tapestries Program partners; requests for reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis consistent with applicable law and regulations

• Flexibility as it pertains to hours; Story Tapestries does have occasional evening and weekend events (at least once/month) where the organization needs staff support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year

We are a remote office, but have started doing in-person programs following all recommended health and safety precautions including but not limited to: wearing masks, frequent sanitization of hands and any materials/equipment in use.
