Tanglewood Conservatories, a twenty-five year old world leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of ultra-luxury glass architecture, seeks a Production/ Operations Manager.

Tanglewood serves residential and commercial clients, architects and builders worldwide with conservatories, unique skylights, estate greenhouses, pool enclosures and architectural pavilions. Our expertise is a specialty – the creation of uncommonly unique glass structures that awaken and delight all who enter.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the management of all planning, scheduling, procurement, production and installation activities.

Goals of this position:

• Develop and manage a team of dedicated professionals coordinating all phases of planning, production and installation.
• Develop processes for increased production workflow, flexibility and efficiencies.
• Develop and implement strategies to enable significant future growth.
• Drive profitability above industry standard.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Engineering/CAD
• R & D, Value Engineering
• Build planning process
• Estimating/ Proposals
• Production (shop & outsourced)
• Production planning and systems
• Lean manufacturing
• Quality control
• Procurement
• Installation
• Contract negotiation
• Occasional travel to project sites and vendor facilities.

• Installation leads

Qualifications and skills:

• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, small company environment.
• Direct experience building and managing teams that deliver excellent performance.
• Experience with luxury lifestyle products or construction, especially high-end residential.
• 10 years of leadership experience in a high-level production/operations management role.
• Direct experience successfully developing processes and systems that deliver increasing higher levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
• Technologically savvy.

• Proficiency with project/production management software.
• Direct experience in a job-shop/manufacturing environment.
• BS Degree in management or engineering.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
