To maintain our pattern of profitable growth, we have opened a New Jersey Office being run by a seasoned Regional Manager to establish, grow and lead our presence in the New Jersey A/E PM CM Infrastructure section. To support this Regional Manager, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience and relationships in the New Jersey infrastructure market (highways/bridges, tunnels, rail/transit, aviation, utilities, education and healthcare) with particular emphasis in Program/Construction Management and construction inspection projects.

This position will be for our Edison, New Jersey Office.

Responsibilities

Project Pursuit:

• Lead in the development of proposals and participate in presentations
• Develop preliminary budgets to assist with outlining proposals
• Maintain long term relationships with key accounts and partners that sustain repeat client opportunities
• Coordinate with pre-construction activities when necessary to ensure successful transition to construction phase

Management:

• Maintain P&L responsibility for projects
• Support the Regional Manager on the execution of business development strategies and tactics
• Help support the Regional Manager in market intelligence on future business opportunities
• Stay abreast of major trends in the New Jersey public sector construction marketplace
• Stay abreast of major trends in the New Jersey public sector construction marketplace
• Maintain contact with client throughout project and beyond project completion to enhance the prospect of future work
• Direct the activities of all infrastructure construction projects in the New Jersey region
• Active membership in professional societies such as ACECNJ, NJAFA, UTCA, etc

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ project manager experience in the consulting engineering services industry, with an emphasis on Program/Construction Management, construction Inspection, and design projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering discipline
• Licensed Professional Engineer (New Jersey) preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written presentations, and good business acumen
• Excellent communication skills for both group and one-on-one meetings.
• Strong computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with the New Jersey infrastructure marketplace, including knowledge of related client agencies (NJTA, NJDOT, NJ Transit, and PANYNJ)
• Established relationships with appropriate professional and civic organizations
