Parents Center is a Non Profit agency that has been providing Mental Health services to youth and families for over 30 years. We provide counseling/therapy services to at risk families throughout Santa Cruz County, utilizing wrap around services in multiple settings, including families, homes, schools, community and our offices.

Job Requirements and Duties

Parents Center is currently hiring a Mental Health Therapist to provide individual child and family therapy with at-risk families throughout Santa Cruz County. The ideal candidate has the ability to work with children, adolescents and families, able to assess behavioral and emotional strengths, and make informed recommendations for treatment.

• Master’s level education in related Psychology field.
• Prior experience billing EPSDT/Medi-Cal, ideally using the AVATAR Electronic Health Records System.
• Maintain Medi-Cal (EPSDT) documentation including assessments, treatment plans and progress notes in electronic health record system in a timely manner as required by program standards.
• Conduct evaluations, assessments and counseling services of referred children, adolescents and their families in school, home or community-based settings.
• Knowledge of developmental stages and needs of children ages 3-18 a must.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings and workshops.
• A high level of flexibility, reliability, organization, writing and computer skills including writing professional case notes.
• Adhere to all confidentiality requirements.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
