Revenue Accounting Manager
Job Qualifications
Education:
· BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
License/Certification:
· CPA (Preferred), License (Preferred)
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
· 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial experience preferred
· At least 2 years of experience supervising or leading teams and leading processes
· Proven knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP), practices, standards, laws, and regulations
· Advanced computer skills on MS Office, especially in Excel, accounting software and databases
· Demonstratable success leading initiatives, prioritizing, and organizing competing priorities and meeting time-sensitive deadlines
· Well established track record of enhancing process and controls
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interact across a broad spectrum of people
· BS degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA a plus
· Healthcare industry experience a plus

· Works in an office environment, promoting functioning and coordination with all agency activities to insure the highest level of professional care. Ability to work a flexible schedule.

· Must be able to work under stressful conditions and time constraints of the agency or projects.
Essential Functions:
The Accounting Manager will assist in managing assigned month end close and financial reporting processes and perform other accounting-related duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
· Support the accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
· Manage and complete period close to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
· Ensure all accounting practices are compliant with legal guidelines and established accounting principles
· Provide ready-to-present analysis of revenue results monthly to the Accounting and Finance teams
· Supports preparation and detailed analytics associated with Medicare reimbursement, including the preparation of the annual cost reports and cap liability analysis.
· Responsible for performing various month-end/quarter-end close activities to meet monthly revenue accounting close deadlines. These include, but are not limited to, revenue allocations, payer and patient liability analysis, and journal entry preparation and submission.
· Complete and review complex balance sheet reconciliations and review accounting team’s reconciliations and journals, with emphasis on the revenue and accounts receivable functions
· Thoroughly documents work for consistency and reproducibility
· Field financial questions and request from other departments
· Assist in the annual audit, ensure all audit evidence is reviewed and explained effectively to auditors
· Collaborate with the company financial team to create internal controls and policies
· Identify and improve problematic processes within the department
· Ad hoc reports and projects as needed
