SUMMARY:

As a member of the Management Team this position is responsible for leading and directing a multi-functional team engaged in the manufacture and packaging of company products.

This position emphasizes total employee involvement through team building and accountability, training and skill development, safety and quality focus, and on time delivery of product, resulting in overall customer satisfaction

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Monitor daily production activities and work closely with the Production Supervisors and Master Scheduler to meet production standards
• Fulfill production schedule by assigning team members, establishing priorities, monitoring progress and resolving problems
• Promote continuous improvement efficiency initiatives with the assistance of the Process Engineering department and production employees.
• Support Sales Department’s efforts to attain new business by establishing and maintaining competitive labor rates, routings and running production trials
• Set department goals and report on progress
• Develop and adhere to department budget

• Manage production personnel issues, performance appraisals, attendance & scheduled time off

• Provide leadership in team building

• Supervise and develop production personnel

• Develop product knowledge

  
  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  4 supervisors, 6 team leads, 50+ production workers

• QUALIFICATIONS
  
  Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.

  
  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  
  Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
