Be part of the development and execution of the Final Mile home delivery service for UniGroup. In this role you will help create service solutions for first class home delivery though the final mile program, ensuring on-time high quality delivery performance consistent with corporate objectives. Communicate with agents, van operators, vendors, and other personnel to maximize capacity utilization, profitability, and service while adhering to final mile policies and procedures. Mentor and provide guidance to the final mile staff.

The work location for this role is flexible if approved by UniGroup except this position may not be performed remotely from Colorado.

Essential Duties* and Responsibilities*:

• Manages the capacity and creates daily driver routes for assigned DC’s
• Monitors drivers daily progress and address any issues directly with the delivery teams that may arise with them throughout the day.
• Work with the staff at assigned DC’s to ensure we are executing the expected SOP’s and performance metrics.
• Assist with the development of new CSR’s and inventory coordinators
• Regularly extend yourself to assist with situations as they arise throughout the development of the Final Mile program
• Be flexible to adapt to the ever-changing needs in final mile including: scheduling deliveries with end consumers, answering inbound calls and coordinating inventory at any of our agent DC’s.
• Recommend, document, facilitate, and collect process improvement ideas through completion
• Set the standards for work ethic, demeanor, spirit, and integrity within the department
• Exhibits desire to develop leadership skills
• Proven ability to develop relationships with key agency operations personnel
• Escalation point for CSR’s
• Non-Standard work hours and possible Saturdays will be required due to the coverage needs of the account.

Education, License or Certification:

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics
