University of Mount Olive Hiring for Graphic Multimedia Designer Job at Mount Olive, NC Full Time

The University of Mount Olive has an immediate opening for a Graphic Multimedia Designer.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan, analyze, and facilitate the creation of visual solutions to communications problems, and visual designs for digital and print needs, including marketing and campaign materials, advertisements, magazines, event graphics, flyers, brochures, programs, posters, newsletters, invitations, envelopes, stationery, reports, and digital content.
• Develop multimedia content ideas in collaboration with the Office of Marketing and Communications.
• Develop and maintain branding and graphic identity standards for the University and manage the creation and approvals of designs across campus departments.
• Record and edit audio and video files ensuring correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to job specifications.
• Serve as the primary campus photographer.
• Collaborate and create content for social media in collaboration with the Social Media and Video Manager.
• Recruit and direct the work of graphic interns along with outsourcing, as appropriate, to address customer demand.
• Develop and manage RFPs, reviews, delivery schedules, and production of print-ready files for internal customers from external print vendors.
• Using graphic design skills, create, edit, and execute print, video, web, and social media content.
• Maintain, edit, organize and moderate the University’s photo directory/website.

· Assist the Director of Marketing with the University website content editing.

· In coordination with the Social Media and Video Manager, acquire raw materials such as video footage, voice-overs, and other graphics to use in video production.

· Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs and growth of the position.

· Occasional night and weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in graphic design, digital design, or a related field.

· 3 or more years of prior experience in graphic and multimedia design

· 3 or more years of photography experience.

· Videography experience.

· A portfolio review and skills test will be required.
