The Manager of Driver Experience position will be dedicated to advancing USPack’s reputation as the best company to partner with for independent transportation service providers (IC’s, Master Contractors, Vendors, etc.). The individual will be accountable for programs, outreach initiatives, value add services, process improvement, etc. that will help all business partners provide service to USPack clients and customers and keep them informed of contract opportunities with USPack. The impact should limit turnover in the driver network, increase interest in the marketplace for prospective new contractor partners and solidify USPack as the most attractive company in the same day logistics industry to partner with. The Senior Manager of Driver Experience has 3 main objectives:
- Continually improve the loyalty of the contractor network
- Improve the business relationship between the contractor network and USPack
- Improve the pipeline of contractors for the procurement team

Individual tasks shall include, but not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all functions/departments to create initiatives to advance and improve the driver experience (in accordance with compliance).
- Improve the negotiation and settlement practices of USP and tailor them to achieve corporate goals and be seen by the contractor/driver market as fair and conducive to continued partnership growth with USPack in concert with cross functional teams.
- Initiate value add services such as leveraging scale for buying power on partner programs that can be extended to the contactors.
- Create and manage a marketing strategy to generate increased and continued interest of contractors, couriers, owner operators in all vehicle types in relevant geographies to support company goals and initiatives.
- Outreach and communication of programs to the existing driver base (in accordance with compliance).
- Oversee the follow up with contractors to ensure the best ongoing partnership with USPack. The Driver Experience team will interact with the contractor network to review commissions, activity, customer, dispatch, and field operation interactions; collect data and report key indicators cross functionally, as appropriate. Where issues are detected, this individual will inform the RD and the Senior Director, Compliance.
- Receive calls and communications from contractors expressing issues/concerns with their contract relationship with the company, or its customers. Investigate issues as required, collaborating with the Human Resources team when involving company employees.
- Create and implement marketing initiatives to aid and improve contractor procurement efforts in conjunction with Compliance.
- Create and maintain a platform for IC’s/vendors to have access to all available opportunities to provide service to USPack and USPack customers.
- Creation of KPI’s to monitor the successful advancement of contractor partnership loyalty and procurement challenges, as well as integrating data from cross functional departments.
- Responsible for the best contractor partnership experience possible.
- Understands the scope of a project and proactively aligns or adjusts priorities with the need for contractors.
- Provide weekly reports to the operations and sourcing team(s) summarizing sourcing needs and efforts.
- Provide weekly reports to the RD’s and keep the Sr. Director, Compliance informed, as directed, summarizing findings and, also provide feedback to the procurement and compliance teams to support ongoing improvement of processes.
- Ability to pivot and prioritize when requests for temporary focus on high problem area(s) such as customer locations, geographies, etc. are made.
- Will be responsible for assessing best practices and sharing these with other RD’s bearing in mind that USPack aims at standardizing almost all processes across the nationwide footprint.
- Review, analyze and present analytics around value-add services on monthly basis.
- Conduct outreach initiatives in all regions quarterly, at a minimum, with the purpose of surveying the contractor network to collect useful information.
- Monitor procurement trends across all markets and report with recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated relationship and engagement champion.
- Proven success in managing and developing a team of direct reports in a remote work environment.
- Building internal/external relationship, customer service focus, financial and business acumen.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Well organized and highly detailed with a flexible attitude to be able to prioritize, manage a variety of functions, and maneuver between tasks.
- Strong communicator in all media forms with the ability to communicate with associates, managers, in group settings, or individually, at all levels of the company.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Skilled negotiator with ability to influence others.
- Should possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook) with ability to compile complex spreadsheets, ability to draft presentations, and ability to create meaningful and concise communications.
- Understand the complexities of procurement and contractor loyalty.
- Ability to travel within business network as needed.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Administration.
- Previous experience in logistics, preferably in the same day/final mile space, with a contractor business model.
- 5+ years’ experience in service provider relationship building and engagement; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Shift Days: Monday-Friday
Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM (Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.)
Pay Rate: up to $90,000 per year
Travel Required – on occasion as needed
