Vaco Boston has partnered with our client for a 100% remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting all accounting functions

• Assist in month end closing, day to day accounting operations, account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, reconcile accounts, and analyses.
• Accurately prepare journal entries and intercompany transactions
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements including consolidations and financial reporting
• Oversee the reconciliation of ledger and sub-ledger accounts and assist with special and ad-hoc projects
• Review and implement process improvements
• Coordinate with external tax accountants and ensure timely filing of tax returns
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting policies and procedures

• Assess and establish effective and efficient internal controls including documentation of accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• A/P & A/R experience required
• 1+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Strong communication – both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Experience working in a healthcare setting highly preferred
