Patient Care Attendant – ER

JOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Sitter performs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse on an assigned unit, Charge Nurse, Nurse Director and/or In-house Supervisor. Primary responsibility is to provide patient observation for patients at an increased risk for injury due to physical or cognitive conditions. May assist with limited activities of daily living as needed (i.e. assistance with feeding, hydration, toileting, etc). Maintains patient safety by accompanying the patient off the unit and maintaining direct contact with the patient in areas where other staff are not in constant attendance (i.e. Radiology).
